This is part of one of the most fantastic pieces of music! I love listening to this song as I paint. I find it very inspiring!

This is the painting Haystacks at Giverny by Claude Monet. The impressionism in this painting really struck me and is one of the reasons I began as an artist. 

Point and Line to Plane

This is another book that I wrote. This book is about the elements of point and line used as an expressive "language" vs. objective art. 

This is the Bauhaus School of Art and Design in Germany, where I worked and taught for many years. 

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. This museum in New York City holds the largest collection of my paintings.

Introduction

Почему привет! Добро пожаловать в Баухаус. I am Wassily Kandinsky. I teach and experiment here at the Bauhaus. My most recent project is an experiment using music. I listen to music as I paint and I paint how the song makes me feel. I see each note as a color. You might have seen this in my work "Composition VI". You see I am the first person to paint in a style called abstract in which the painting expresses the inner emotion of the artist rather than the reality of the world.
